I don't disagree that ashura is a transformation, but he is not a free mode like gear2 or gear4, if you read the manga properly you will reach that conclusion

There's no sensible difference lying between gears and Asura so that's wrong.

Ashura is a demonic aura that materializes in Zoro at the peak of his fighting spirit, this is the only explanation that we have, it is totally logical that it will manifest in difficult situations, whose is not maintainable, just as Luffy did not use gear3 as a mode or the way Sanji used DJ in ennies lobby - sabaody, whose he did 3 kicks and felt side effects (is obvious that this has changed post-TS in which Sanji can use DJ regularly, freely and without prescription)

The fact that I mention HM is that it appears to be a demonic transformation, where Sanji's face appears materialized, with traces of the devil and Sanji is covered in flames, and he was never shown to be doing more than one attack in this transformation, which is why it's ridiculous to say that it's a wrestling style mode

u urself said what i mean though Gear 2 / 3 are mode because they have named techniques under them Asura the same it's called nine sword style like santoryu you can call it mode / Gear / style they are the same because we saw named techniques getting mentioned under them but for HM we didn't see that sanji said HM and he called it his ultimate technique not a mode / style / Gear just a technique like ougi in Zoro case , are we going to call his ougi a mode ???? or just a technique under santoryu do the math for sanji it's a technique like vagabond drill for jinbei under his fighting style for jinbei it's fishman karate ougi as for sanji it's DJ ougi
