Character Discussion Your thoughts on the Ace/Sabo character and plot?

The fandom has mixed opinion on the whole ace/sabo thing. Some people like sabo, while some people don't like the character.
To be honest, i also don't like sabo as a character. As some people had said, sabo just seems like a replacement figure for ace (brother figure with even the same DF). I just feel that diminishes the impact of ace's death for luffy (luffy losing his brother). Personally speaking, i prefer if ace just continues to live on and also joins the onigashima fight. Luffy doesn't have any character development any way since the timeskip. Ace was introduced back at alabasta and portrayed to be above luffy in terms of power. It is intriguing to see luffy and ace in the same arc finally on the same level, fighting against the invincible yonko.

I might get flamed for this but i honestly love both Ace and Sabo´s story and don´t think they need to be changed.

Ace never dies and Sabo is his own character that isnt a rip-off of Ace.

Keep Sabo as a dead brother that influences how Ace acts and let Ace die in the Paramount War. Sabo only exists to make a convenient bridge between the Revos and Luffy which isn’t necessary.

Both Sabo and Ace are great characters for me personally. I could understand why ppl hate either or. But I wouldn't change Oda's work, I can't do better

Sabo's story is completely worthless. Ace could know the bounty of his rookie little brother but not once heard of the infamous #2 Revo Sabo that even fodder pirates and marines knew about? Sabo never seen a bounty of Ace 3 years before his death?

Him getting the Mera does nothing as well and he's just Ace with less personality.

I would have Sabo introduced first and killed in summit war and than have Ace's entrance, Just because I think Ace design and his personality are much cooler. And that damn ship its just a cool thing.

Let's leave Marineford as it was, that was probably the peak of OP with Enies lobby up there. So Ace dies there. About Sabo for me it is a meh until now, live or dead doesn't change much. He had a small role in Dressrosa, is a leader of the revos who most likely has been trapped and there will be some kind of rescue, also I find it difficult it would be Luffy to come to the rescue if Oda doesn't want Luffy to meet his daddy but that would also dehype the WG and the mysterious IM, who knows, let's see what happens. Anyway the amnesia thing was laughable XD that is pretty much a plot hole patched up in a hurry. In comparison even WB leaving Wano and Oden to Kaido is way lighter.

I'll have to see more of Sabo in action before deciding. He's doing okay so far, but he isn't necessarily an interesting character like Katakuri.

I liked Sabo's character but I won't prefer him over Ace ! Also I didn't like that he got mera mera no mi . Honestly speaking I was so hyped about any straw hats getting mera mera no mi , specially Sanji !
Sabo's entry ruined my expectations..

Not quite the same, but we do have alternate version for that scenario (although sabo is also still a brother here)
