Speculations I was wrong about Shanks's sword

OK .... I guess I was wrong


many people claimed Shanks have Roger's sword ... and I was disagreeing with that


and when we saw this ... I thought the argument is over

as you can see here (or any official pictures) Roger's sword have a golden grip


so I said ... well it's over cause I've seen this

in anime , games and .... Shanks's sword is Green


While in MANGA

so .... I think don't think they are qiute the same sword ...

but the fact Shanks have a golden grip sword just like his daddy is a detail to be notice by fans

POST Marineford Shanks ... seems to have SAME SWORD as Roger btw
Shanks's sword as of now was designed in 3 or 4 ways

Shanks have SAME life style as Roger
Shanks grow up on Roger's ship
Shanks was an straw hat just like Roger
Shanks should have same fight style as Roger

even in Ace Novel ... people of the world sees Shanks as Roger's Hire ..... even when people knew Shanks is not interested in one piece

However, we see multiple times in the story it's gold.

In OPBR and other video games, it's not gold but it's blue. Just like the 838 cover.

I mean this is still not 100% like each other
but I guess it's pointless to argue that cause Shanks's sword might change design once more

LIttle designs changes like that could be just that. Little design changes. If he indeed have Roger's sword. It could be something Oda decided later on.
Wasn't Shanks just supposed to be someone random at first, then because he was popular, Oda made him more relevant?

I don't know about that, the Yonko were supposed to be the first big characters created by Oda according to a recent interview (and the three powers were mentioned in East Blue already), Usopp was amazed at Luffy knowing Shanks because he's a great pirate and it's a bit cliché for the mentor or role model to be someone important in the big picture. But I'd like to know if there's indeed a reference for Shanks becoming more relevant than first planned because of his popularity.
