Powers & Abilities Would Shanks have the same fighting style as Roger ?

I have no facts and no arguments either, but it is only an impression since they resemble their personality a little, that are free, and that no one hurts their mate, and they are both left-handed. Shanks may have been inspired by Roger and his fighting style; they even seem to use the same sword.

I also don't think they are just ordinary swordsmen, they didn't even bother to make the sword permanently black, even having CoA top tier. They must have other powers that channel their power, my guess would be both having the unique power of channeling CoC as a form of atomic energy that would work similar to Fujitora's ability; Oda when talking about Shanks on SBS put the question: '' How does Shanks really fight?''

Probably Shanks has the strongest CoC shown so far, so I don't find it impossible for him to have a unique power that only Roger was able to use. And Shanks managed to arouse him when he lost his arm, causing him to gain a PU for he be stronger and become a yonkou in the following years.

Could be, imo they both had sword just as a secondary weapon. The point is that Shanks most likely will use CoC as his main while Roger, even if he too for sure has a top tier coc, could still be a df user (while for Shanks it is way more difficult to have a df at this point).

well ... in my head canon Roger was more physical and had more raw power
and Shanks have better swordsmanship

but over all ... yes ... Roger and Shanks are only people who have advance CoC (or in highest level of it) an in my mind they both have that as main power

so give and take ... yes

and Dark King don't have any sword to be seen around him in this chapter
and Shanks don't have any sword when he is watching Roger's death


people don't carry their weapon every time with them ... judging Roger in that time he was too broke to buy one

All this thread is : fanboys trying there hardest to explain why there fav characters who are swordsmen don’t have black blades like the two Wss of there time Mihawk and Ryuma . The answers simple brah they couldn’t turn the swords black because they are not as strong as mihawk
