What made Roger lose his “aura” was Oda failing to differentiate him from any of his contemporaries. He didn’t beat any of his rivals (I’m a WB simp so I’ll exclude him, but have him beat up Shiki or Big Mom for goodness’ sake).

Luffy vs Crocodile, Lucci & Katakuri for me for separate reasons:
- Crocodile had the best finish in the anime (episode 126 still my favourite)
- Lucci for the emotions
- Katakuri for the Choreography
Whitebeard should have never been a part of the Rocks Pirates. The flashback just cemented it for me.
