Apparently we are getting a half year break around 10 chapters from now (Elbaf's end?). Oda wants to take his time to create the best final arc possible. He says it will be the biggest arc yet, but plans to end it around chapter 1500 (which means 9~10 more years).

I doubt awakening a fruit which biggest pro is against devil fruits, will do alot against a non devil fruit user. Or awakening the fruit has to be able to cancel out Haki aswell, which would make it broken beyond believe.
