Yeah, Imu did it twice now.
He was aware of Luffy charging an attack, yet he kept looking at Brook.
He was aware of Gaban preparing to attack, yet he kept Stigma-ing Luffy.
Imu does not care.
Even against Loki, he didn't pay attention, but daydreamed about Joyboy
Shiryu was Magellan's equal.
I know Magellan seems weak in retrospect, but that's because pre timeskip powerscaling was different.
But Oda clearly holds Magellan in high regard and would buff him accordingly if he were to come back.
Same goes for Shiryu.
Not only that, Shiryu also got the power...
Imu definitely showed a new standard of power, however that does not mean the next fights Luffy will have will be boring.
If Luffy goes extreme diff with Blackbeard or Akainu, it's still going to be fun, even if Akainu or Blackbeard are not as strong as Imu.
People enjoy it, that's why they keep reeding it.
Whether they like the direction of the story, that's another question.
But I don't think anyone follows something they don't enjoy.
That would be just torture.
I enjoy Shanks' character.
He is a Gary Tsu, but cliches are cliches because they work.
Of course, a Gary Tsu can be done badly, but I think Oda handled Shanks well.
I always like characters that the MCs look up to, and follow.
That's why I also like Minato from Naruto.
I guess my taste is...
He already killed Cobra, Saturn, Lulusia, and Rocks (indirectly)
So that's an impressive start considering this is Oda we are dealing with, and no other One Piece antagonists has as much bodies in such little screentime, and outside of flashbacks
And he already gave permanent damage to Gerd...
