I don’t think I addressed this clearly earlier, but I’m glad Oda explained what he explained regarding Wano in a recent SBS. He gave roles to all of Momo’s group except Yamato, whom Oda simply said was “still learning about the world”. He could have easily listed Yamato as “Momo’s teacher”...

Yamato has to finish Oden's business at Laugh Tale, so of course she'll be there for that.

He'll def pick it back up once Oda has Moria go back to Wano.

I mean, even just going by the manga itself, clearly Yamato still wants to join, just as Jinbe did. We shouldn’t let other things make us pretend as if she still doesn’t want to when she clearly does. Any issue surrounding that will clearly get resolved.

Ace and Sabo never had interest in joining Luffy. In contrast, Jinbe and Yamato have, and Jinbe has at this point. We can go back and forth on this all day, but I think literally every argument against Yamato has been countered at this point. lol

He literally had Yamato asking Luffy to visit Wano as if Yamato is with Luffy somewhere else and presented that as a good future. How could Oda not be invested in this at this point? lol...

Yep, that's Oda confirming that Yamato impersonating Oden is indeed a bad thing. So because of that, we can expect Yamato to grow out of wanting to impersonate Oden, if she isn't already.
