Was given the idea from @Xione If the Straw Hats had lost during the Onigashima battle, how far do you think the Yonko alliance would have gone in reaching their goals?

They had aura when they started using their abilities to completely dominate the island inhabitants and the straw hats. I don’t know why Oda struggles to maintain a characters presence after their initial portrayal. First Ryokugyu, then the Gorosei, now the Gods Knights…

They are fans in disguise. They whine and complain at how bad the series is yet tune in every week. Oda made them his bitches. Anyways, two completely different series with different focuses on the writing. I prefer One Piece by a good margin.

Unless Oda has severe Alzheimers, he already set up Zoro and Sanji to get power ups this arc. They still have a role to play even if it's not fighting Gods Knights.

Only three scenarios I could see Elbaph leading to. 1. Domi Reversi Loki vs Straw Hats 2. Everybody vs Imu 3. Gods Knights somehow get back up to fight Zoro/Sanji. I really can’t see Oda just relegating Zoro to fodder sweeper in an arc like this.

Decent chapter outside of Oda establishing that the Gods Knights are clowns and aren’t worth getting invested in. -Usopp finally gets a character moment -Luffy actually appearing to take a situation seriously instead of underselling the tension by having fun.

To be fights for side characters. That's it.

I don’t know if he’ll show up as a top tier but I can see him reaching admiral level when the series ends. I think he’ll be a key figure in the faction of “Good Marines” which I think will be led by Koby.
