It would be too disappointing for watchers to go from the remake back to the original and see a drastic animation/quality/direction decrease. Pre-TS from Water 7 and after isn’t bad or anything but modern anime had risen the bar too high for it to feel satisfactory for new fans.

Strange that they wouldn’t go up to Arlong Park. I guess they realize the demand is too high to delay it further.

Piratefolk is far more negative than here. I’d say that and the main OP subreddit skew heavily on opposite sides of the spectrum on their views of the series. WG is somewhere in the middle, where there’s a balance of both, with the majority probably being in the “like it a fair amount” category.

I don’t necessarily understand it either. I’ve dropped many long running series that I liked (even One Piece for a year at one point) if I felt it got shitty. In fairness, a lot of people have probably followed this story much longer than I have, so they might be more inclined to see it through...

I don’t know about a W but I imagine Luffy isn’t gonna perform worse than whatever Loki does next chapter. I’m kinda hoping it’s a 2v1 to keep Imu at a pedestal but still make it somewhat believable that they could hold out enough for Imu to get affected by whatever condition he suffers outside...
