I'd prefer if he didn't exist because he's extremely boring and generic, but here we are. In this case I'd be happier if he started using his best forms and abilities much closer to the end of the story.

The most I'd expect after Laugh Tale is a banquet and a quick time skip.

I simply don't think the WG is falling after One Piece is found. The battle for the One Piece will be the final fight, which makes sense for a manga that is literally called "One Piece"
