Character Discussion Akainu doesn't hate Pirates, he hates the Enemies of the Government (Akainu's character got exposed)

A considerable amount of fans have the belief that Akainu is the villain of the story, which when you assess, comes down to two things: He is cool and killed Luffy's brother. In most stories these would be enough reasons for him to be the final villain, but this is One piece, a story about a world enclosed in a long night by the World Government awaiting a dawn.

Akainu and the rest of the Admirals are agents of the World Government doing what they are told. The only freedom they have is how they enforce the World government's justice, i.e Akainu-absolute justice, Aokiji- lazy justice, Kizaru - unclear justice, while they are doing it differently, at the end of the day, they are doing what the WG wants.

I think this why is Garp refused the Admiral position, as that would make him the Celestial dragon's dog, which is what Akainu and Kizaru are, Fugitora seems to be on the fence as he went against the WG orders in Dressrosa, and even helped in abolishing the Shichibukai system.

i'm dead serious if you think shanks is a gorosei pawn you are so far off the looney bin in conspiracies.

you can't even read this series at the basic level.

I see that most people, who like Akainu, states that because they like Akainu due to Akainu hating the pirates, wanting the ''evil'' pirates to be destroyed from One Piece world, they see Akainu as hero of this current generation due to believing this.

I never believed Akainu hated pirates, he just hated the enemies of the government, because he is a good dog of the Government, he is the dog of the Celestial Dragons, Gorousei and Imu,

If you want the direct confirmation, here we go;

Akainu: ''You've always wanted the Seven Warlords gone. I was against it, but I can't overrule the King's decision.''

If Akainu really hated pirates, he shouldn't be saying Shichibukai should've stayed;

--- Chapter 957

Akainu believes, keeping Shichibukai - Seven Warlords around creates necessary sacrifices, he is ok with allying himself with Shichibukai pirates, and he wanted to keep Shichibukai around, but he can't overrule the king's decision.

In the end, even Fujitora is more honest about this situation, if anyone really hated pirates, that should be Fujitora, who made them removed by begging forgiveness from Dressrosa King in front of everyone, humiliated the marines just to get rid of pirates that's called Shichibukai.

Akainu is ok with this, he can side with pirates, as long as they side with the world government. Because Akainu is one of the biggest dogs and protector of Celestial Dragons, Imu and the Government.

There were of course signs about this earlier, even before this final confirmation on Akainu being ok with keeping Shichibukai Pirates around;

First of all, Akainu's obsession for Luffy comes from Luffy being Revolutionary Dragon's son, not because Luffy being a famous pirate. So, you can say Akainu only wanted to kill Luffy because Luffy was the son of the Revolutionaries leader, not because of being a pirate.

Another Revolutionary Dragon mention;

Why he is obsessed with Revolutionary Dragon? Surely, it should've been a political view that Revolutionary Dragon wants to overthrow the Government, which Celestial Dragons controls over it, why Akainu cares about this, when other Admirals doesn't care as much as him? Dragon is not a pirate.

Because Akainu is the one of the top dogs of the government, protector of Celestial Dragons, he only cares about destroying the enemies of the government, not pirates. If he had problem with pirates, he would side with Fujitora about the Shichibukai removal decision, Akainu could at least stay neutral and say nothing about that, but see that Akainu wasn't even neutral about Shichibukai removal decision, he sided with that Shichibukai Pirates that they should've existed still.

Now look at this another important detail;

Akainu: ''No matter who else escapes, I will never let you two brothers go!!''
--- Chapter 573

So Akainu is ready to sacrifice other pirates escape, only to kill the son of Dragon, and the son of Roger, who learned the void history via One Piece, which could expose Akainu's dear Celestial Dragons's secrets, and Akainu can't let their masters secret revealed, that's the only thing that Akainu cares about. There could be Shichibukai and that those pirates can still exist, and they can keep terrorizing other civilians when they were legalized pirates by government, and other pirates could escape from marineford all they want, if Akainu only protects his masters Celestial Dragons and Imu.

And remember what Akainu did in Ohara, he didn't do that to kill pirates,

Aokiji: ''Bastard..!!''
--- Chapter 397

He killed civilians so he can protect the secret of his masters, who are Celestial Dragons. He didn't kill people who can potentially become pirates, or people who helped the pirates, he killed civilians that could possess threat to his own Celestial Dragon masters. Those civilians had nothing to do with pirates.

There is a reason why Aokiji fought Akainu, not because Akainu is an extremist who hates pirates, Akainu doesn't hate pirates, he only hates and wants to kill people who can reveal the secrets of his masters; Celestial Dragons, Akainu wants to be a good boy for his masters, which is why Aokiji has gone far enough to fight with his fellow marine friend, because Aokiji knew, Akainu would do anything to protect Celestial Dragons, Imu and Gorousei, which is why Akainu shouldn't have been the Fleet Admiral, otherwise there would've been a lot of sacrifices to protect Celestial Dragons and Imu.

Fighting against Akainu = fighting against Celestial Dragons and Imu, Akainu has no personality other than being the top dog of Celestial Dragons, just like Rob Lucci, this guy's will can not be equal, and will never be equal to the will of the Emperors of the Sea, the Emperors bow to no one, especially not to the Celestial Dragons and Imu. There is a huge difference, even Aokiji has more of my respect, even if he is like %0.1 weaker than this government dog Akainu, he chose the right thing to join the Emperor Blackbeard, rather than working under this Celestial Dragon's top dog.

this isnt your point but i just realized something. this sort of disproves the people who say Green Bull can't be Ushimaru, lol. Sakazuki didn't look like Bunta Sugiwara until he became an admiral! he just looks like a normal guy as a vice admiral!

Mihawk was portrayed as weaker than every admiral just based on matchups.
Furthermore, there's no indication the Jozu and Aokiji or Marco and Kizaru had extended fights offscreen, there is actually an indication that Mihawk and Vista fought offscreen for an extended period.
So Mihawk is under every admiral.
Meaning Vista and Shank are under every admiral.

The only reason the marines backed down is that Shanks is a government agent in disguise and a snitch.
shanks is an associate of the government (he runs the entire Underworld) but doesn't work for them. He's allowed into the gorosei room because he's basically their peer and they depend on their relationship with the underworld. they backed down because if Shanks pulls his support, he can reveal all kinds of secrets, corruption, stop shipment of weapons and devil fruits, it would be chaos.

Akainu like every Marine is a soldier, he is ''programmed'' to obey orders and follow a hierarchy, in this case the WG.

akainu actually believes in absolute justice. he will literally attack and try to kill these guys and imu if he discovers the source of corruption. That's how insane he is, it's not about obedience to him, he really does believe in this fake ideal.

Akainu’s philosophy is absolute justice/total authoritarianism. Not “hating pirates” or “hating enemies of the WG.”

This post is smooth brain as hell.
yeah people who think akainu is just following orders are missing the point. akainu would be doing this for free if the WG doesn't exist. he would be going around murdering people on his own because they don't fit his personal justice. his motivations are beyond these titles and rules.

Because he is above every single one of them :steef:

He talks to the Gorosei like an equal while the Fleet Admiral Akainu gets treated like a messenger boy.
It's not because of Shanks being more powerful , it's a matter of different hierarchies. The Marine strictly works for the Government.

There are a ton of reasons. This should suffice:
That's flawed and based off Kaido's subjectiveness, probably basing himself off people he fought or saw pushed to the limits or still possessing ACoC in particular.

Big Mom is not there and so Prime Rayleigh. Meanwhile Oden does feature.

He is in favor of Shichibukai because he knows marine alone wouldn't handled Whitebeard Pirates back then.

If Teach didn't showed up WB would have destroyed everything.
