Oda will do whatever he wants
Him offscreeing the start of the battle and only giving us nerfed luffy vs kizaru is already a sigh that this fight won't last long

This fight ends in 1095...like katakuri vs Luffy 895 (actually ended in 896)

Literally every "major" Luffy fight is characteristically 80-120 pages, with very few exceptions. You can do this count ranging from Crocodile, Lucci, Moria (with Oars specifically), Doflamingo, Katakuri and Kaido. The only "real" exceptions are earlier villains from pre-Alabasta and Enel. Then the first two arcs in post are just Luffy stomping his enemies

I dont see how Kizaru is anything like the "joke" or weak villains on this story. He will not go down next chapter, or in 10 chapters. He will mot have the shortest fight in the series either (there are only 3 pages so far lol). Other things will happen first and Luffy and him will get 6-8 chapters of fighting like usual.

We're not getting a real fight. Something will happen that pretty much off-screens it or postpones it to a later time. That's Oda's style, leave the people hanging and cut away to some other stuff that's not nearly as hyped right at the height of excitement or interest. Maybe next week we get a Stella backstory that we don't need.
