The comparison is fair, but they're different.

He's more graceful than she was. He's not screaming around in pain and he does give the impression of "not caring to dodge" rather than "can't dodge".

I don't think anyone does it anymore- Even the most extreme Gorosei haters seem to be warming up to the idea of them being top tiers now.
But for a while they were screaming that he's a regen merchant and that he and the other Gorosei wouldn't be anything more than gimmick characters.

Not really he killed VP. His only real L was auger escaping but that’s to be expect with Teleportation powers

It’s because he’s easily the most over-reliant on the regeneration. Without it he’d be done in already. It’s the same reason Ju Peter is also getting some flak.

The rest have shown impressive things outside of regen to mark them as good combatants. Saturn has mostly been flailing his limbs

Again there is possibility for him recognizing Nami as CD, which could save their lives.
