General & Others Am I the only one who thinks One Piece is kinda getting weak/soft? (like almost anything else)

Everything has it's pussification (Like EVEN If I was a creator, writer, a president, a video game designer...etc if I heard from people I created something weak, I'll admit it or tell me when I have done so), even the most selling manga, just like when you compare Spider-Man trilogy of Tobey Maguire to Spider-Man trilogy to Tom Holland, or comparing video games of then vs now (Just like Mortal Kombat 2011 vs Mortal Kombat X, a game which you beat the final boss Shao Kahn using the god of thunder vs beating the final boss Shinnok using a silly daughter of a classic character who takes selfies and chewing gums instead of using Scorpion whom decapitated his rival whom is also Shinnok's Right hand man in Quan-Chi or EVEN his other rival turned friend/ally Sub-Zero), or comparing Albert Wesker's RE5 game to Resident Evil: Afterlife, or Dr Doom in the Fantasic 4 movies to the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2006, or world leaders of now vs then, athletes then vs now, music then vs now...etc, or when you compare almost anything of now vs then...etc, One Piece is kinda getting weak/soft! here are a few examples of the characters:

Beats up Fullbody, gives food to poor people, was the MVP and did genius moves in the Arabasta arc to save his friends
(In that video he did simp a bit for Nami but not too much, he used it as a motivation and was just romantic but not too much oversimping)






Badass Smoker vs Jobber Smoker:

Confronts Dragon & tells the Gorosei and World Government to eat shit!!!!

This is no disrespect to Oda or I'm not trying to offend anyone, tbh this is my opinion, Oda is a fantastic writer tho But tbh, he's a writer like all writers, people call him goda or any bs like this, he's just a man with 2 hands and 2 legs, and also, he said a lot of takes in OP that weren't quite right (see this thread below) nothing stays the same, but also he should end OP or try to find something to end it, otherwise, his series could get weaker or before doing any asspulls that can make the watchers/readers of his manga/anime get annoyed.

Yeah, I do know that but in a sense, like at the same time, he was goofy, also well when he fought Shiki, he also still had the serious persona tho but yeah whatever lol, at the same time, you're right.

Yeah... Garp should've lost a fist, either frozen and broken off or cut off instead of the stab

King should've lost more that just a wing

Queen's metal spine should've been broken by sanji crippling him

Drake should've bled out like Izo did (not offscreen!)

Eye diff on Egghead should be more severe than just a simple invisible 'smash', eg head literally exploding

Kaku should've burned to death, alone and trapped in the bubble

The fleeing Egghead civilians and scientists should've been nuked to pieces on screen to highlight the seriousness of all the events

S-Hawk should be way more bloody

We still haven't seen cannibal giants that eat captured humans (like gargamel trying to eat the smurfs)

Saturn should've gotten the death blow from Garling while suffocating from losing Imu's power

About Smoker, I've forgot to add that he also lost to Law and got his body switched to Tashigi as well, and I agree with what you both said.

Edit: Also I wanted to tell you that I like Gear 4 more than Gear 5, Serious Luffy>Silly Luffy

Understandable, but let's appreciate the rare epic moments we get even now:
Kuma's Punch was PEAK and I'm very surprised Oda drew such a scene in this day and age!

But Kaido isn't that soft, and Roger in his days, cause he wasn't ill, for Kaido:

Kaido's DF is still strong (even tho he could've been a typhoon) but still strong, in PW4, he could summon wind, thunder, Ice, use laser beat of fire breath everywhere and shoot fireballs and can fly, also he does fight multiple top tiers, he fought Roger, Garp and Odin and lost to them, he did want war and chaos, the scar he had was from a Odin, Odin is strong and maybe he could've been an end tier Yonko if he was still alive, he is as strong as a prime Rayleigh, at least WB or Roger didn't give him the scar, Zoro scarred him but EOS Zoro will be better than Ryuma.

He wasn't fighting Big Mom at a 100% if he would, he can kill her, especially that she wasn't 100% in her prime, also despite being drunk is goofy and stuff but he is stronger when he's drunk, like if he's a gag character like Buggy or Gear 5 Luffy, also he says "what's more fun than struggling between life and death?" Also reminder that Kaido defeated Luffy 4 times, more than Crocodile which makes him the antagonist that beat Luffy the most number of times, he beat Odin, prime Moria, Kidd x2, Law and Zoro, also both current Mihawk & Shanks wouldn't beat him but by EOS then maybe

Some of these are edgy for the sake of edgy. But yeah, at least some of these happening would've make the stakes higher.

I wouldn't say One Piece became softer per se rather than hyperactive, like most shows (fiction &non fiction).

Just compare 30+ year old documentaries to those made within the last decades. Old shows are basically asmr.

You mean the manga that had oden roasted in oil then gets shot in the head or the depicting a mother about to kill a her child because they had no food or laws,kuma,doffy,kyros and big moms backstorys.
