Wasn't the whole 99 masters thing from the anime only, like the Mihawk baboon? Sanji's training on the manga was literally only running away to avoid being crossdressed.

Depends how much Mihawk pushed Zoro, we have a pretty good idea of what Sanji's daily life looked life in Kamabakka kingdom. Zoro did lose an eye though
