Fire Arthur smith
Trade Mike Tomlin
Fire Teryl Austin

Just complete rebuild. Going 0-21 in the first half is worse than not even making the playoffs
I am pretty tired of the "fire" or "trade" Tomlin talk. So many teams wish they could make the playoffs 11 times in 18 season. We Steelers fans are so spoiled by having a team that while not perfect can compete year in and year out (even when they aren't supposed to). Is it going to take them looking like the Browns, Jets, Jaguars, and Lions of yesteryear for this fanbase to realize just how good they have it.

For me Tomlin can stay. Let him finish out his contract and then reevaluate in 2027. Smith is in his first year as OC let the guys have an opportunity to learn his system. Austine probably needs to be changed with a different DC but they executed his scheme so well early in the season I am not sure what happened in the last 5 games.

I don’t dislike tomlin; I like him as a head coach, but genuinely it’s best for both for Tomlin to get traded. The Steelers need to have a losing record they’ve been trapped in a cycle of average to mediocrity for years. Tomlins skills as a coach are wasted on this team and the teams need for growth is stifled by Tomlins skills.

Both need to say goodbye so that Tomlin has a chance to get a team to the Super Bowl and so the Steelers can actually rebuild and have a future.

Let Tomlin get traded to a team that has a solid foundation so he can win another Super Bowl and let the Steelers get a solid foundation by having a few bad seasons.

At least you articulate it better than a lot of other. I get it if they trade him they can get some compensation that will actually help the team in the long run but I doubt the Rooney's will do it. I don't think the Steelers are mediocre at all unless the meaning of the word has changed over time. They are a good team that overachieves from time to time. That is far from mediocre imo. 12 playoff appearances in 18 seasons is a crazy good stat. We all wish he had more success for sure. Thanks for letting me know how you feel and not flaming me like most other Steelers fans I interact with.

Nah cause as I said I like Tomlin, and I’m well aware we overachieve, this team shouldn’t be in the playoffs imo. And to me that over achieving holds us back. It gives hope and limits our future options. I think trading tomlin to a team that he can help, getting picks and players we desperately need in exchange, and rebuilding the team is best for both.
