He is also shown laying on the beach alive when Vegapunk is discussing the relevant information. It is very obvious if you’re familiar with the way Oda hints at lore.
Saul is the only survivor of the only group that read poneglyphs besides Robin. He is covered in burn scars. Meeting with him is what emboldened Shanks to go get the One Piece.

Shamrock's design is good, but I felt something akin to uncanny valley effect seeing pretty boy "Shanks", not the usual hobo Shanks. Gunko's powers look nice, good thing it's not zoan. I wonder if Shamrock is going to summon other Holy Knights. Also, are they going to try recruiting another powerful individual?
