Aye thats fair, I was worried when I saw Kizaru getting clowned in the manga too and I do think they will still make Luffy look superior ofc but I'm gonna keep my expectations low and hope they can pleasantly surprise me instead.
What they did to Akainu was foul but that was a really long time ago now, so hopefully it won't be like that now, they've had a lot of new staff since then too.
I just hope they animated some of his more impressive, important moments when he's fighting well, but I'm sure they will add some interesting stuff too. Sadly we don't have his awakening and thus the first Logia awakening to look forward too though but given how well they've been handling swift movement, it will definitely come in most useful with Luffy vs Kizaru and Kizaru in general ofc. It's gonna look glorious imo.
Oh you said the same too, you're keeping your guard up for the same reasons ofc lol.
Oda is far from done with the Admirals too, they are some of his favourite characters based on his favourite movie actors so they're gonna get plenty of love in future too, both from Oda and Toei. Once the final war rolls around and they have to fight once and for all, going all out, then our agendas can truly shine too.
Oda keeping Akainu stuck to deck for like 15 years now or however long its been has not been helping ofc and also Fujitora being AWOL from the story since Dressrosa and thus over a decade now too BUT all this stuff we're getting in the SBS is really helping us Admiral fans out at least, if nothing else.
The stuff they did with Kuzan vs Garp combat wise and thus animation wise too was amazing too, this in particular especially I mean:
That was filler and they really did this fight beautifully in both art style and animation.
Personally even though I'm trying to stay cautious too, part of me really can't wait to see what is coming and thus what they do too.
Kizaru is gonna shine bigtime soon, both literally and figuratively and it's gonna be fucking great, Toei will do him justice for sure.
Edit: I forgot to mention, fights are really toned down in the manga due to Oda's current state of mind and circumstances so the anime gives us more of the "real fight" and fills in what Oda couldn't give us too.
