Within the context of One Piece it borderline has no Shippers outside of a few Tumblr accounts making this a weird thread
It's honestly more toxic than powerscaling because of self insert
People don't just self insert themselves like in powerscaling but also self insert their irl partners into the ships so they take it too personal when people disagree with their ships

It depends on the fandom. Most of the really tiresome shippers and powerscalers tend to be the same type of person really, just adopting different interests.
In OP I'd say it's powerscalers because they're more common.
In a different fandom it could be shippers e.g a game I used to play called Identity V, shippers were way more common and obnoxious.

Like others said it depends on the fandom. Here, it's powerscaling, I mean I've seen a guy wish cancer on Sandman and his family for debunking a fake scan that wanked Sakazuki. That doesn't happen with OP shipping though.
