I usually trust Redon's summary translation more than the scanlations that race to release first which is why in the spoiler thread I was talking about how the shield being made during the Winter Solstice meant it had to be Caramel's, but now that both OPScans and TCB say it was Big Mom's powers I wonder. It would be helpful if the leakers who uploaded the Japanese raw pages didn't obscure all the dialogue so we could confirm for ourselves

i think it's more likely now that the shield was created when Loki was a child there. That flashback has to have happened in Elbaf, so that means the Rocks Pirates were in Elbaf somewhere between 44 and 38 years ago. I'm guessing 42, so Loki would be 21 and equivalent to 7 years old, which is the same age Luffy was when he stabbed his eye to prove himself to Shanks.

Big Mom was probably fighting the giants offscreen with Zeus and Prometheus and Napoleon and the rest of the Rocks crew while Rocks himself was hanging out with Newgate.

This also means Shiki was present in Elbaf. Strong World monsters in the Underworld continue appearing this chapter as well. I really wonder if he's here?

Kuma can teleport to Vivi and teleport her to straw hats this arc, so Vivi can come back into the story, as the only way that she can return is by something like that. Kuma might die though by the end of this arc which is why I think that that has to happen now.

Kuma has finished his character arc. He saved his daughter. He saw Nika. He survived the Gorosei. He had ample opportunities to die a martyr, and he didn't. Instead, he made it to Elbaf, where Vegapunk was quick to tell us that he can be restored to full health.
How illiterate are you to still see all of this and to think Kuma is dying?

Kuma ended the straw hat crew (why would Kuma not be killed so Luffy can rest easy after that) and the straw hats might need that ability to meet Vivi because we are in the final saga, and Vivi might rejoin. That scenario is better than the crew randomly meeting her on an island.

WTF are you on about? Kuma dismantling the crew is what allowed the SHs to survive. WIthout Kuma there would be no SHs. You don't honor his character by killing him off, and you don't need his DF for the SHs, since Kuma is already a Nika fanboy and a Revolutionary to boot, so when time comes, he will use the Paw Paw for the good of the SHs and the world at large.

If Vivi is to officially join, as opposed to just being one of the many princesses who will tell her people to side with the SHs over the WG, it won't be the random ass Nikyu Nikyu the glue that makes the reunion work. That side of the goroase Oda has abandoned since it was first made public in the SBS.

What do you think Kuma is going to do at the end of this arc?? If anything Luffy might battle Kuma to get his revenge on that moment while the emphasis on the two year timeskip is getting stronger so Luffy can defeat people like Kuma, he’s just getting revenge.. The only thing that is making Kuma look good is Bonney? Kuma is not going to keep protecting Bonney forever, and Bonney is a capable fighter at 12.
