We got another color page! The anime is back! It's a fun scene.
And another part of the cover story. Page One is still alive! Thank goodness, I guess? Although, I do wonder if Ulti will squeeze him too hard next time and something will pop inside him. That seems like a gag Oda would do, at least in the background.
Zoro and Sanji are fighting a Groggysaurus in the Underworld Realm. A good name for a animal that tastes good with "grog".
And we get a origin for Goldberg's weird shield. It came to life when his dad fought Big Mom. That does kind of raise a question of who Goldberg's dad was, but I don't know if that'll be important later or not. Odd that Big Mom brought the shield to life, even if it was a accident. But, I suppose she was probably less experienced with her powers back then.
Luffy's reaction to finding out about the World Government having "Knights" is...interesting. I mean, it makes sense that Luffy would have never heard about them before. It's Luffy, he doesn't always pay the most attention to the stuff going on around him. But, I don't know. It's interesting how he "emphasizes" the "Knight" part. I wonder if something's clicking together for him, at least subconsciously. Maybe something that the Nika Fruit "knows".
Sanji gives Zoro a compliment. Weird. It's a backhanded compliment, but it's still weird.
Luffy's feeding Loki so he gets better! That's...also weird. Hmm. At least it's a pretty amusing scene. It's just weird seeing Luffy being the one to serve food and drinks to someone else, even if they need it. Especially when Sanji's right there.
Gerd approves of Loki's pain. And I approve of Gerd's approval!
Oooh...and we get the biggest reveal of this chapter. Loki looked up to another pirate in the same way that Luffy looks up to Shanks. And given the silhouette it looks a LOT like Rocks D Xebec. It's never outright stated, but that's probably who it is. Especially given that Whitebeard was there, too.
And Loki repeats a old line we've heard before. "I was born in the wrong era". Now, that helps give us some context for what Roger might have meant way back when we saw him arrive on Laugh Tale. Roger wanted to be on Joyboy's crew! Roger probably looked up to Joyboy the same way that Luffy looks up to Shanks, at least after he learned whatever story he found on Laugh Tale.
It's interesting that Rocks was able to beat up on Kid Loki. Even back when he was just a kid, Loki was probably pretty strong, if Luffy sparring with Colon a few chapters ago is any indication. Giant Kids are usually pretty tough for any "normal" human to deal with. So, we can probably say now that Rocks was NOT a fraud. He probably wasn't a tricky Buggy-parallel. Rocks was strong...probably.
The Fears are actually relatively weak because the kids only imagined them stronger than themselves. That's actually a interesting touch.
"The World really is ending" Oooh...good line!
Jinbe saves the day! Good for Jinbe! He's needed a win.
But, now, Gunko's ready to attack the Colon Pirates! With Brook onboard! Okay, this is gonna be fun! I guess we'll see just how much of a fangirl she really is soon! (After a break week *SIGH*).
