lmao he literally bitched CDs right in their face by freeing slaves and them doing nothing about it
Hmm.. if Imu is like the satan of this world (or at least a high-ranking demon), are there angels or something like that and a Heaven? I know the story is inspired by all kinds of myths and religions from all over the world, but the pentagrams and 'one world government and religion' themes relate to biblical prophecy more than anything.
I wonder if Fujitora is an angel of some kind, he seems to elevate playing dumb/weak to an artform when introduced lol then it's shown that he's still extremely powerful and can sense everything around him despite being physically blind. Maybe he's not entirely aware of his indentity? As shown in that panel he certainly hates when people play God. The devil was previously defeated and kicked out of wherever he used to reside. I guess Fujitora (and others) may be the ones that originally did so, now tasked with keeping Imu and co in line. They're allowed to intervene but can't entirely defeat the demons/Imu, as God (I wonder how Oda would handle that lol) would be 'destroying the world' anyway. This allows Luffy to be the one to actually beat him, possibly possessing Blackbeard at the end, and it would carry weight as it would be a human beating the devil instead of an angel. Dunno why they wait until now to do it when the One Piece world has been 'destroyed' before? Some kind of 'divine timeline'? Does Imu remember this?
