I'll share just a little dip of one of the game mechanisms to build up hype until when the game starts in December.
One of the game mechanisms will be for players to choose a route every cycle. Each route will have items, abilities and characters with various effects that players can get and one of the routes will be
Tidus and Yuna route (Videogames)
Items:
Masterball (Pokemon)
Keyblade (Kingdom Hearts)
Magic Mushroom (Super Mario)
Chaos Emerald (Sonic The Hedgehog)
Yamato (Devil May Cry)
Blades of Chaos (God of War)
Majora's Mask ( The Legend of Zelda)
Cid's Airship (Final Fantasy Series)
Abilities:
Djinn (Golden Sun)
Ultima (Final Fantasy Series)
Kaiser's Breath (Breath of Fire Series)
Absorb (Kirby)
The Force (Star Wars: KOTOR)
Characters:
Moogle (Final Fantasy Series)
Lyn (Fire Emblem)
Pikmin (Pikmin)
Illidan Stormrage (Warcraft)
Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid)
Sephirot (Final Fantasy VII)
How you interact with these routes will not be simple and it will have more layers to it than simply RNG'ing the item/ability/character. Finally, this route mechanism will tie with another game mechanism responsible for unlocking your conditional form (originally from DAL game) and/or Ultimate Ability (originally from Waifu Wars).
Finally there will be yet another game mechanism independent of this one which I'm sure you'll love it or hate it.
