Unsure if thats what happned
it seems like if you are "forced" in a contract you transform pysically which would be obvious to everyone else
If harald took the deal willing (more likely) i dont think it would be for becoming a vessel tho. I think he just figured it out that he made a deal with devil to sell out elbaf and found it out, atleast thats my current theory

I like it. Sommers earlier mentioned that Harald already promised to give the WG the army of Elbaf. I feel like Harald was a thrall for a while before Loki killed him.

And that's also why Loki won't be made to fight her, because the damage would be done to Gunko, not Imu main body. It'll just be holding back Luffy exorcising her using Nika.
