The thing, Oda is at least consistent with narrative

narrative wise it made sense Croc, who’s always been a huge deal in the pirate world to be strong. So Mf Croc is not really a huge “boost”

these characters getting stronger makes sense within the large narrative. Hajrudin just never had that going for him.
