FMA is consistently solid to very good, but it doesn't reach the highs of HxH such as Chimera imo. What would you say is the best arc in FMA?


Vinland does. Askeladd's part and Farmland are definitely up there, but after Farmland it drops off, and really drops off.

Berserk winning is just expected. But it's a joke that Urasawa's 20th Century Boys lost to Spy x Family.
Spy x Family doesn't even have a main plotline; it's just episodic comedy and action with some ecchi thrown in. It doesn't have the same level of dramatic depth as Gintama or SKET Dance, which is a great combination for comedies like that.

Of course Vinland Saga is worthy to stand side by side these titles.

But for me it was mainly between Monster and Berserk, but Berserk and HxH share (at least in the past, I have in all honesty not really been keeping up with them) a problem in extended hiatuses and still have a lot of loose ends to tie up.

So for me personally while I think they both are legitimate claims to the title that is truly a masterclass and culturally impactful, I decided that I'd break the tie with the fact Monster is a finished work, even though I would probably admit that Berserk is arguably more culturally impactful that being said..
