To be honest the fact they win or nearly win so much is a sign of how legendary those mangas are. Even if you don't personally like them, you gotta admit their authors popped off when they made them. They're popular and beloved as fuck, not as much as stuff like Dragon Ball but still really well known in the animanga community.

Deadly ankle breakers with perfect passing ability.


Kise is kind of a Lebron. Can do anything on the court, mimic styles, and all around game. Can add a bit of Kobe for scoring

Murasakibara is clearly Shaq. Immense physical abilities, dominant paint work and defense, all similar to Shaq.

Midorima is Klay Thompson.

In the anime tho, it's cards.

You have your deck of cards, can trade, but most people already have their decks built out.


You don't catch the monsters.


But you battle using those yes.

The anime is toned down but really fun.
