I’m not the biggest Sasuke fan, but at least he gets character development and is integral to the plot. Zoro has really been a nothing character since post-TS. His last piece of character development was all the way back in TB. Oda’s treatment of Zoro is almost as bad as his treatment of Chopper tbh
Sasuke is a badly written character, Zoro is hardly a character. Pick your poison, I'll take the latter tbh, especially given Zoro is actually likable and a character you can respect as a grown man.

I would cringe if I saw a grown man wearing a Sasuke t-shirt, whereas with Zoro he's in a similar lane as Vegeta atleast.

Zoro is just liked for the right reasons. A strong and stoic guy, who is disciplined, wants to reach the top and is a no bullshit character, who, at the same time is willing to sacrifice himself for others. Nothing more, nothing less. Zoro had several great character moments one even as an adult could aspire to in other contexts.

For example when
  • Luffy was crying after defeating Usopp, we had Zoro saying that such is the burden of being a captain and that he should endure it, since if Luffy broke down, who could they have faith in?
  • He was the one refusing to accept Usopp back unless he apologized and owed his mistakes
  • He was willing to sacrifice himself to Kuma and take Luffy's pain
Zero edgyness involved. Just principles.

I would definitely be picking Zoro if it was pre-TS only. It's actually crazy how Oda just completely forgot how to write the SHs some time between Amazon Lily and Return to Sabaody

Most dislikable thing about Sasuke is Naruto and Sakura over obssession with him
Who's a better character? Not really a debate, Sasuke clears by a long shot lol
From growing up as a sole survivor of his clan seeking revenge, being protective of his team against Zabuza and Haku, then discovering in the exams that his Uchiha talent does not necessarily mean he's better than others, jealousy of Naruto, seeking power from Orochimaru, abandoning his comrades, refusing to kill Naruto as Itachi told him, leading his own cell, killing Itachi, finding out the truth, seeking revenge, fighting alongside Naruto in the final war then turning against him afterwards
Nothing too deep but Sasuke is as well written as the Naruto manga is, the show was built around him

Zoro got no character he just follows Luffy around, drinks booze and wants to become the WSS because his crush fell down the stairs
You may like him more but character wise come on lol

If you aspire to be like any anime character aside from Sakazuki then your father failed you

He’s what the fandom thinks Part 1 Sasuke is, an insufferable brat who is so hooked on what happened to him, he projects that insecurity to everyone around him (Obito more than anyone).

Post-Konoha crush arc he meets with Yugao at the memorial stone and says he stands in front of it every day for hours?

It takes a back seat in Shippuden but every time he’s late in part 1 it’s because he’s sitting at the memorial lol. He’s just as emo as Sasuke but without anyone to lash out at
This is not Emo lol

Yeah I don’t know what series shiroyu dead because Kakashi in Gaiden is semi sociopathic. He literally was fine with letting Rin die lol

Obito had to wake him tf up.
Didn´t he still want to save Rin after the mission was over?
And a lot of the stuff about Kakashi being super depressed in the Anbu is mostly filler. the Manga doesnt cover that part of his life

irrc it’s in the novels that kishi approves

Obito’s correctly points out that he’s making an assumption and they could just kill her and Kakashi has no retorts, meaning he pretty much agrees and was just lying to get Obito to go along with the plan

Sakazuki is a bum, bro really chased a fodder marine into the town to murder him for not wanting to fight who they perceived to still be the strongest Emperor alive when he could have been actually helping by fighting Whitebeard and his goons. Then his fraud ass is gonna cry when Luffy gets away. That's what happens when you slack off

Didn’t think anyone would actually fall for such an easy bait

I wouldn’t count having episodes of dejection when visiting your family’s graves as emo tbh. Kakashi has PTSD and blames himself for both Obito and Rin, he’s doing his best with a very realistic and aligned response. It’s also not easy to forgive yourself, everybody deals with emotional baggage at their own pace.
What is emo then?

Because Kakashi is just like Sasuke. It’s literally the whole point of the parallels lol

Feels unfair to characterize him as "sociopathic"
Kakashi was simply just trying to do the most safe move as a rookie jonin, and he was worried about the war continuing leading to more deaths. No plan can lead to zero deaths, as even what they end up doing ends up with Obito "dying"

He literally says that ninja shouldn’t have any emotions so yes, kakashi was heading towards a sociopathic path until obito woke him up
