The point of peaceful protest in a democracy is to win popular support. Irrc the women’s march was done very early into trumps first term so no wonder it did not do much to sway the average voter. There wasn’t much to protest.

On the other hand recent protest are directly opposing trumps fascist actions. There’s proof that the republicans right now are not in a favorable position for the midterms

I mean, midterms are never favorable to the ruling party.

1. The dems won’t get a super majority
2. Trump isnt relying on congress to accomplish his agenda
