Why would they have to figure anything out? They should know the exact answer given they were just speaking with the guy who knows. If Zoro and Sanji went off to confront these characters without the answer it's another one of Oda's brain dead moments.

Gaban is on the floor, critically injured, the whole crew is held hostage and Imu along with the demonized Giants are wreaking havoc. You expect him to teach a haki class in those circumstances? The explanation is likely not as straightforward as "aim for the heart" or whatever, it's likely abstract and requires to try it in combat to get the gist of it, just like ACoA at Udon.

IMO it was always a given that you could get better at using CoC .
All haki have different level and subs sets and you can keep on getting better at them .
I did not want it to be that simple be it is what it is cause Gaban showing better CoO than luffy for eg .
Showing luffy can still get better CoO and shanks show he can still get better FS or even kill FS.
