Great chapter !!!

I think built upto Harald flashback seems very odd but it’s important to learn how Harald was as a person it seems he was like Loki but I am certain after seeing some incident he changed his mind and took the route of peace .

Shanks meet him at Mariejoa how and when ? What conversation they had and it’s interesting .

You just underestimated Lucci. He even clashed with G5, and sent Luffy flying back. And honestly after fighting Luffy, was calling Luffy a fraud.

Lucci turned out to be him.
I defended Lucci when he was getting downplayed to YC3 level after his fight with Luffy but I don't see the man doing shit to a old legend, at the lowest Loki should be solid low top tier. Oda is done hyping up anything below that threshold, we saw how he treated King and Weevil

Loved the chapter honestly

We now know the counter to the Holy Knight's regen, Zoro finally knows that he has CoC, and we're about to witness Harald's journey

The Gaban and Shanks dialogue is easily the best part of the chapter though. I used to kinda dislike Shanks cause he felt too perfect and protected. He was treated as this "character" that would only really show up for hype moments to do something cool before disappearing for the next 400 chapters

Now it feels like Oda's putting quite a bit of time into actually making him feel like a human rather than a powerscalers wet dream. His line about wanting to do nothing but live a fun life with essentially his brother/best friend Buggy broke my heart

Gaban is also continuing to grow on me to the point where I might legitimately put him over Rayleigh. I love Rayleigh but he felt a lot more like a wise sage while Gaban feels very "normal" in comparison

Like Shanks joking around while almost telling Gaban's giant wife about his whoring days feels so... nice?

Great chapter overall

Loki he is likely stronger right now

End of the arc when Zoro will master COC more it will be more of a debate but right now Loki is superior no doubt for me
I can see him being stronger than Zoro even after the arc end .
Been a while since Oda hype someone this much .

Good point, I'm not even reading these chapters...I forgot Gaban has been hinting at Loki potentially even being above himself.

I guess it might be like a Yamato situation where it's more ambiguous.

True, Oda did a great job making Shanks feel less like a Gary Stu and more like an actual character with flaws and depth.
But I still need to see more from him before I can say Shanks is a good character.
