Whats a popular theory that you're surprised was proven wrong

For me its the popular theory that Bonney was big moms daughter

Both have the food theme
Both have pink hair

Bonney can change ages physically
Big mom can take life span away thus changing ages

Everything made it seem like Boney could be one of big moms 99 kids

But nope here comes Ginny the baddest baddie in all flashbacks

The recent theory that proven wrong was that Kuma will die in Egghead as a martyr in order for SHP and Bonney to escape.

The narrative was quite strong back then, especially since Akainu already melt some of his face (kinda like WB) and he arrived at Egghead in a critical condition.

It just felt perfect since mythical zoan is the only piece that Teach is missing; every devil fruit he gets is stained with blood (he kills someone for it); every devil fruit he has have a legend around it — Yami is the most evil, Gura is the power that can destroy the world, Loki’s df is said to be legendary in a similar vein.

Who knows, maybe the mysterious figure will be revealed to be Teach and this is actually his first devil fruit.

100%. But the concept of haki nullifying DFs has taken out the usefulness it anyway, so yeah

Skipping ryuuma lores and BB topics on wano was a disappointment. Especially Ryuuma's role regarding the isolation of wano etc.
