I 100% disagree. I don't blame you if you feel some of the power ups were sudden and artificial, but Shiriyu all of a sudden becoming top tier is wayyyy more sudden than any CoC shenanigans' with Luffy.

After the shit with Big Mom, Kaido, Kid and Law, Chopper being able of hurting Queen, the Upper Scabbards being able of injuring Kaido, the lower Straw Hats being able of fighting the Gorosei, Dory and Broggy's power upgrade, Shiryu being turned into a top tier wouldn't shock me at all.

In fact I would be totally indifferent to it, by that point I am blasé about how powers are written in One Piece.
