We know young Big Mom could get around pretty fast and pretty easily.

It’s very clearly to see how even a young Kaidō would form that dynamic with her. He’s always known her to be powerful and expected no less when he went down to fight her.

Whatever the gains are on offense, I doubt they compensate for everything else. I’d have to see more to judge.
