Yes which is why I've held the opinion that Mihawk is stronger than Shanks for years now

The Shanks > Mihawk argument falls apart when you realize you have to jump through 100 hoops to make it make sense

First it's "the title isn't legitimate" -> "Mihawk never beat Shanks so we don't know" -> "Oda said the title is real but it doesn't apply to Shanks because he isn't actually a swordsman" -> acceptance should be here but it'll never happen

But I also find it funny that Zoro fans give life to the arguments by responding. You know the truth or at least you believe you know the truth so why do you argue about it constantly

How does that change anything? It's about as relevant as Hachi thinking his fighting style is the greatest. He didn't say it's the strongest. I don't think you can have style that is strongest.

It took seeing the fucking mark on his arm for people to think he lost his arm ok purpose when we have said that for years.

Him being the strongest has never been stated or implied nor is it relevant for him and his character

It isn't about stating or implying he's the strongest. It's about how he makes the readers feel

I find the word to be incredibly corny but "aura" is the best way to describe it. Shanks feels like the strongest so a lot of readers/watchers assume he's the strongest

If Mihawk retains the highest bounty under the current Yonkou, I think this would mean he's meant to sit at the current top with Akainu (and probably the God King the way things are going). Otherwise if Aokiji (an Akainu victim) takes even that claim from him, I won't buy into it anymore. Mihawk would be a legit top tier, but he's just in the mix with the rest.

Let's see how it plays out.

I guess hard to believe due to lack of feats and portrayal.
But he has all the hype to suggest he is.

Put it this way, its on par or higher than any other possible Zoro opponent at the moment.

- Fuji has summoned meteors but its his swords DF power
- Shiryu has....uh idk lol. I still hope he's portrayed better
- Nasujuro (if he fights Zoro) sliced Egghead in half.

The last one being the closed to what Mihawk casually did in Marineford. Id say just be patient on that front.
