Davy Jones completes the trinity
Wealth - Davy jones who was obsessed with treasure
Fame - Joyboy who’s name is echoed throughout history
Power - Imu who left the void century as the single controller of the entire world
Every single pirate is obsessed with treasure
What did Roger and Whitebeard talk about when they met after long time?

"Hand over treasures and loots"

The yami also matches the idea of Davy Jones locker/storage vault, so Davy Jones having it would fit perfectly
Yes! BB did say his darkness can pull anything and he can absorb anything.

We have seen him absorbing whole town as well.

So, what you are saying is true. It acts like storage or vault and at the same time it pulls df users like a devil (sea) curse.

Davy Jones having yami makes sense.

And, it would be on the lines of Luffy - BB parallel as well.

Luffy got Nika df - Joyboy df
BB got Yami df - Davy Jones df

With how Xebec can waltz in and out of reverie infested with major forces there, killing an admiral as a sidequest for declaring war on Imu, capturing kings, destroying the gate if justice he might as well be able to solo the Gorosei and HK combined in his prime

@Blackbeard @EmperorKinyagi @Reborn So much fucking wank holy shit not even my fake spoilers had this much Xebec wank
Get ready for the god valley flashback where Xebec overpowers Roger, Garp, and Garling together forcing Saturn to summon Imu to personally engage him

@Kurozumi Wiwi @Sir Yasheen @Blackbeard

Finally starting to love life again, ironically.
To think of it, Wang Zhi was just said to be running a cult.

I wonder if he and Rocks had a Jonestown style sacrificial cult thing dedicated to Davy Jones going on?

In November 1978 the world was shocked by the mass murder-suicide of more than 900 members of the California-based Peoples Temple cult. Members of its Jonestown commune in Guyana drank cyanide-laced fruit drink after being ordered to do so by their cult leader, Jim Jones.

Urouge said Blackbeard would be the eye of the storm and Urouge is the mad monk, who better to get involved with cults?

Brook was "summoned" by a long leg long arm cult or whatever, trying to "summon Satan" and the holy knights and Gorosei ironically use satanic circles to teleport/summon each other too.

Jones and Joyboy feel like they might overlap too. Will of D, Will of Davy.

Yeah!

But real question is why Xebec never went back to meet IMU again?

Perhaps he was searching for something to face imu. What if that something was yami df of Davy Jones and he never really found it as @EmperorKinyagi said.

I can agree with that.

Yami as mythical zoan doesn't fit at all. We haven't seen transformation from BB like in case of Luffy (Gears) and yami more has elemental kind of effects with darkness attribute.

It simply doesn't fit to be retconned to mythical zoan like in case of Nika

But....Davy Jones having Yami is a huge possibility.

If Davy Jones was a mythical figure or paralleled Joyboy then him having Yami could explain BB wasting decades for Yami.... because perhaps even Xebec did search for it after meeting IMU but never found it.
It makes sense, the locker is the depths or the abyss of the sea. It could fit as a natural element, the water logia we’ve been searching for all this time is basically the yami yami. It would also explain why it cancels fruits.
