I think that’s just because BB was strong even before the Yami.

The idea that Rox was able to magically put his soul in a kid in a different part of the sea is wild to me.

Tbf I'd prefer it if Blackbeard really is just that guy and he did scar Shanks on his own merit. This is why I hate him being Xebecs son as now anything he's done and accomplished can retroactively be assumed to be genetic tax benefits or whatever.

Buggy was pretty wary of Blackbeard as a teenager at most and I'm sure he's a great read of people like that ofc, more intelligent and sharper than he let's on. Genius jester and such.

Blackbeard had those rumours hyping him up already despite being so fresh out of the womb so to speak. Really sets him up gradually as the Shanks foil-parallel with Shanks being the only one able to replicate divine departure at only 15 years old too.

Blackbeard has probably done some other insane shit as a kid or teenager we've yet to see or hear about too.

Teach killed Wangzhi during timeskip -> Wangzhi's son tried to be on Teach's good side and will betray him later

Xebed did back out as he was surrounded by not just IMU, entire marine forces and elders. He realized he isn't at that level.

I think that’s just because of BBs physicals. Blackbeard was very strong even prior to eating the Yami. Ace himself said he was strong enough to take the role as the second ship commander.

there are also other scenes of people looking at haki coating, like in dressrosa when luffy goes gear 4 with the flames coating and law immediately says "he's using too much haki".

Law knows haki so he can sense Luffy using it. This is clear at Onigashima when Luffy and Ulti clashes then Ulti goes hybrid and says she is sensing a huge haki coming from Luffy.
