It makes sense for roger and whitbeard to not have BB since they were introduced pre ts, but rocks seems to be the perfect character to give bb without taking much from mihawk and zoro since he is dead.

Oda has given everyone advcoc so why hasn't he not given someone else bb, not even the sword gorosei.

What the two confirmed Black Blade wielders have in common is that they are both the WSS of their eras.

Greenbull can derail this, but the jury is still out.

It is said that Ryuma's Black Blade was forged through his history of battle. From the Wano arc, we know that swords are said to have souls and personalities, choose their wielders, and even test them.

Therefore, I believe a blade can recognize when its owner reaches the status of the top swordsman of their era. All swords are crafted to kill, and the one who stands at the top fulfills that will, forging the blade they use into a Black Blade(s).

Because a Sword chooses its Wielder and Top Top tier are chosen by Supreme Grade Blades.. There's just one Supreme Black Blade, for Mihawk elevated a Great Grade Blade to a Supreme Grade Blade.. So Mihawk will never a Top Top Tier..

And no one has ever turned a Supreme Grade Blade Black.. That's for Zoro to accomplish first..

No, Oda hasn't.

Black blades are just beyond CoC and CoA so before Oda can reveals how to create black blades, Zoro needs to first master CoC and CoA haki. Oda uses Zoro to show us what is required to become the WSS. He has already mastered CoA to incredibly high level and on his way to mastering CoC.

Some people seem to be confused about sword grades and raising a sword rank.

Blacksmiths creates swords and determines a sword or blade grade. While swordsmen create black blades and raises a sword rank. The blade grading system is a blacksmith grading system. The black blade ranking system is different.

Mihawk's sword yoru didn't go from a great grade blade to supreme grade blade. It started as a supreme great blade and reached the rank of a black blade. Black blade is a rank. All black blades are above non-black blades. An unbreakable or virtually unbreakable blade is stronger than a breakable blade.

I believe the strength of a black blade is determined by the strength of the swordsman and their haki. The stronger the swordsman and their haki, the stronger the black blade they can create.

We already know weather a swordsman can create a black blade is determined by their strength.

Zoro's statue in Japan hinted he won't receive any more swords. It has his current swords and it was unveiled until he obtained enma.

For Zoro to beat Mihawk he will need to break Mihawk's sword. Mihawk told Zoro to surpass him and his blade. To break Mihawk's sword, Zoro will need a stronger sword. He will create that strongest sword.
