Any disclosure from the current government would be an attempt to use Spacecraft/Drones the US has created to manufacture a military crisis to justify shutting down the country.

The US government has invested legendary amounts of money into compartmentalizing military aerospace programs to A: be able to control narratives, and B: easily find out whoever's leaking information and eliminate them.
