Who is the final villain

But, the thing is...Imu really hasn't been ACTING like a "tyrant" this whole time. No one even knows they exist, outside their inner circle. Imu hasn't been ruling over everyone for wealth, or fame, or power. Imu has two out of those three things, but they really haven't been actively seeking them out or trying to keep those for only themselves. Imu's just been doing a job, silently, for hundreds of years. Or just living life in the Flower Garden, content to lead a pretty peaceful life. Imu doesn't NEED to be toppled, because no one even realizes Imu exists! If Imu wanted to, Imu could just...walk away from all this and no one would even be the wiser. The World Government could still keep running even without them.

In my opinion, Imu works better as a tragic figure, instead of as the final villain. Someone who tried their best, who sacrificed everything, even their own existence, to help keep the world spinning (maybe literally), but came up short.

Because, honestly? The World Government isn't doing THAT bad of a job. The Celestial Dragons, and their Tribute, are a problem, and need to be addressed. Piracy is still a problem in a lot of areas. Slavery needs to be abolished, that's a big one. But, otherwise? There's problems, but they can be corrected by adjusting things, not completely burning down the old system.

Imu doesn't really NEED to be toppled because the World Government itself doesn't really need to be toppled. The Celestial Dragons just need to get some sense knocked into them. Even the Revolutionaries agree with that. Imu actually did a pretty decent job building up something that works for most people. Not all people, like I said, things could be improved. But, Imu really didn't seem to do that bad of a job building a government from the ground up after the Ancient Kingdom fell. Did better than I could do, I'll say that.

Even stuff like destroying Lulusia? That was probably Imu trying to kill two birds with one stone. Imu wasn't aiming AT Lulusia, so much as aiming THROUGH Lulusia, in order to shoot at whatever it is that's at the center of the world. Like Piccolo shooting Goku in order to hit Raditz.

I think Imu likely needs someone to force them to get out of their "house" and connect with their people again. Imu likely needs to give up being the ruler of the world. (So that Buggy can take over). But, honestly, I could see Imu joining the Strawhats at the end, as they help reintroduce Imu into the World they haven't really seen since the Void Century. It'd make for a good excuse for the Strawhats to keep sailing together. Showing a immortal how the world has changed over the years.
:ohreally:

And this is why media literacy is dead

Imu is a grade A cunt, not an empathetic figure lmao.

Love how things are going.

We dont even know who is the reall final boss. I would say Imu for what he represents.

Compared with other animes where the final boss is very known, or introduced at the last moment like Kaguya hahaha, I like how is Oda doing the stuff, making us wonder who is the real final boss.

Imu as final villain in the Grand War. But will there be 1 or 2?

Enel vs Wyper, Zoro, Gan Fall & Robin is the original but we also had Rooftop 5. Free for all with 4/5 top survivors.

In both cases the 4/5 could choose to serve Enel/Kaido and get top positions as priests/all stars but instead refused.

I think we WILL get the same vs Imu and the only guy present vs Enel and Kaido is a guarantee as top 5 vs Imu - Zoro.

Luffy might be there or more likely, like vs Enel and a bit like on Rooftop, he is their trump card, their Gear 6 that shows late. The Imu 5 will get offered positions as Gorosei but refuse.

Kidd
Zoro
Law
Sabo
Coby
(Luffy, arrives later)

Regarding BB it's almost as if we need a similar but secondary war. Perhaps before the Imu war or a parallell war. We need to get rid of all the 40-60 year olds standing in the way for the 20-30 year olds. Mihawk, Shanks, Akainu, BB, Dragon.

--

So in total we have top 5 youth, top 5 prime, a lot of Imu forces and above them all Luffy who should be excempt from any group as he is the key.

It's very funny how the original people posting on this think it's Imu, but the poll says it's not.

Fusion is a crazy stupid thought

Sooo.... You want the ultimate villain to be Imu after he decides he's too weak to fight without a D member fusing with him?

Lend me power, Blackbeard lineage! This is Luffy's stupid grand fleet we're up against. - Imu

Zehahahaha! If we fuse, does our CoC get twice as long or do we just get 2 CoCs?

Bro maybe the final villain is a Kaido+Imu+Blackbeard+Millennium Dragon super hybrid? It could compete in multiverse battles. They should really add a tanuki into the mix as well.

Bruhhhh I just thought of something if you fuse people who don't have CoC to people with CoC then suddenly everyone can color like a king with crayons.

By the way, it makes total sense for two guys who are so stubborn about things that they want to be the supreme ruler of the world... Lol... It makes TOTAL SENSE FOR TWO GUYS WHO ARE SO SELF-CENTERED THAT THEY WANT THE ENTIRE WORLD TO DO WHAT THEY SAY... to cooperate and fuse with each other so they can both share the world as a team lol... It makes total sense... Such people.... Lol... would NEVER butt heads or something... Lol....

I would rather Buggy became the final villain if Blackbeard and Imu are going to team up and be bros as the final villain tbh

This changed nothing. All it did was hype imu even more as xebec couldn't do anything once he reached them. Imu is set up as the ultimate bad guy and the reason the op world is so messed up. On top of that they seeming beat at least 1 other nika user if not 2. Only way bb is the final villain is if we get the down fall of the wg first and luffy becoming pk second. Luffy being pk second makes no sense and even using xebec imu is still a far more dangerous villain. Bb is a threat to Luffy's dream and a potential pk. Imu is demon God of the op world that's a threat to everyone.

Technically it could be both anyway

Since Blackbeard could absorb whatever makes Imu, Imu, and therefore become Imu himself, or atleast he'll possess a part of Imu.

Or if Imu is simply someone who has a power BB can take and isn't an entity to be absorbed whole, I guess BB then.

But I could see BB gaining the same ringed eyes as Imu after taking his powers etc.

Something we have to consider is that Teach never did anything evil to be evil. He always had a purpose. For him, the ends always justify the means. The reasons for his rampaging on Drum island are unknown but I am very sure we will find out some purpose behind it.

Imu on the other hand was and is portrayed as absolutely antagonistic. Directly or indirectly responsible for each and every arc of the series.

So the answer for me is clear. Teach and his crew are as redeemable as Croc and Mr 1 (and Mr 2 and Mr 3) are.

Imu and his zombie soldiers are not.

I am not sure what Oda will do of the thousands of CDs inhabiting Mary Joa.
Have blackbutt suck their soul out

I think Blackbeard will defeat Imu and will learn the secrets of the world. He will also go after the one piece. Then Luffy will declare that Blackbeard can’t have the one piece because he wants it! Everyone will yell at Luffy and say Blackbeard is trying to take over the world, but of course Luffy will be surprised because he thought Blackbeard only wanted the one piece.
