Koby and Grus each have a Cross Guild bounty of 500 mil.
This is about the same bounty Kid and Law had going into Wano. Leaving Wano, the duo each had a 3 billion berry bounty, the bounty of an admiral.
Wano shows the jump from 500 million to 3 billion is possible. Imo it will likely happen next arc to the marine duo as next arc is likely the last arc before laugh tale and the final war. It will be a blitz for the last road poneglyph and all yonko will probably be involved.
Some of the current admirals could fall and slots will open up for the new generation of marines. Given how Kizaru and Fuji are currently the good admirals of the roster, I could see them falling to Teach/Mihawk before getting replaced.
Also think the marine duo only needs one power up to reach admiral level. Koby will obviously get ACoC and the ability to replicate Garp’s galaxy impacts. As for Grus, a powerful awakening could be enough for him to become an entry level admiral. That’s all it took for Kid and Law to reach 3 billion and Grus uses his fruit in tbh not too different of a manner than Kid, making constructs from his element.
Ultimately while I doubt the new generation marines will be the strongest marines in existence by next arc’s end, I think they’ll at least be entry level admirals. That would set them up for major roles in the final conflict in mariejois.
