Let's be real, Oda isn't going to wank anyone but Luffy in Nika Piece. Characters who already had some motion like Zoro and maybe Law will get something, but Oda isn't going to have Koby going from fighting Kuja fodders and needing Blackbeards help against Hancock to surpassing Garp all in the final saga. He will get some development and become an admiral in an epilogue or something, but some of you guys really lose all common sense with your "EOS" Agendas

Luffy went from getting mid diffed by Katakuri to beating Kaido in the span of 2 arcs

Yeah Koby will surpass Garp in that time

how incredibly stupid in every sense of the word. If Garp somehow didn’t know what celestial dragons do every 3 years he’s a fucking idiot. If Garp knew he’s calling them “vacations” he’s goddamn deplorable.

Oda cannot save that panel by having Garp clashing with Roger. That’s a forever stain on his character

I'm not too far off from this myself frankly. I think of Koby and Smoker together being some kind of conjugate amalgam of what Oda originally planned for Luffy's marine equivalent foil of Garp. Frankly just cautious of who Oda deems of worthy of the bigger powerup between the two, and how far it will take them.

After all, Crocodile needs a matchup in the race. Smoker might need help in the rematch....

Smoker and Crocodile fighting would be the highest T match up in OP. It would probably clear God Valley

Especially since Crocodile basically founded an organization that pays people to kill Marines, and Smoker at least cares about the lower ranking Marines who work for him. Would be a great conclusion to both of their arcs. And yet, I doubt Oda would do it.

Man, how did Oda just deliver non stop aura farming for this dude?
