Let's be real, Oda isn't going to wank anyone but Luffy in Nika Piece. Characters who already had some motion like Zoro and maybe Law will get something, but Oda isn't going to have Koby going from fighting Kuja fodders and needing Blackbeards help against Hancock to surpassing Garp all in the final saga. He will get some development and become an admiral in an epilogue or something, but some of you guys really lose all common sense with your "EOS" Agendas

To me it's more that Oda made a clear distinction that Koby's growth is nearly as ridiculous as Luffy's. And Luffy has gone from being one shot by a single Thunder Bagua to being near the top of the table or at least not far off.

So Oda giving Koby a random bullshit powerup to make him closer to Luffy isn't that far fetched to me if he wants Koby to be included in the foray going forward. I don't think he'll be like a full blown matchup like BB or Imu or Akainu, but a genuine obstacle? Entirely possible.

I'm gonna be honest, if Koby has the importance of Kidd in Wano during the final saga, that will be impressive for him. He can maybe team up with someone and take down a pretty important villain. But you're smoking crack if you think he will end up looking like Prime Garp. If Oda really wanted to portray Koby like that, he would have him beat Hancock during Wano.

I'm not too far off from this myself frankly. I think of Koby and Smoker together being some kind of conjugate amalgam of what Oda originally planned for Luffy's marine equivalent foil of Garp. Frankly just cautious of who Oda deems of worthy of the bigger powerup between the two, and how far it will take them.

After all, Crocodile needs a matchup in the race. Smoker might need help in the rematch....
