I must say, Kaido vs Luffy still holds up. They won’t get powercliffed by haki-only users, it looks like there won’t be a higher level of haki. We need to see a DC scale on a completely different level to differentiate which attacks are stronger. They all look the same right now.

Btw I am still expecting Roger to narratively separate himself from Garp during this GV event. He has to get an eventual 1v1 with Xebec. If that doesn't happen though then there's just no doubt Garp at worst is intended to be equal to Roger.

Thing is, you can't really give Roger a youth excuse here because this is still 44 years ago, which mean age wise he'd be about 33. That's pretty fucking prime age-wise for any fighter, maybe a few years short if anything.
So in the 6 years between this point in the story and GV, what exactly is Roger training to get that much stronger?

I'm personally of the camp that Roger is being given that shitty Luffy ailment of never being truly "serious" in a fight until it's a life-or-death against somebody he *knows* is bad like an arc villain. So Roger's probably gonna get that shonon mc boost in GV to come closer to Xebec in a straight up fight.
