Especially known names like Shiki, Captain John, Silver Axe etc.
Xebec either scouted you personally or allowed you to join because he sees you as valuable to his plan. If you chess pieces start offing each other you'll end up short handed and your crew will stop following your plan.
The little scene with the bomb was nice, I just wish we had more actual brutality somehow.

A perfect example of why some legends should stay as legends.

i hope oda doesn't explain every mystery in op. i have a feeling if he were to show us the florian triangle shadows for example, he'd find a way to make them go heart eyed and be simps.

And, evn Shakky as a reason makes sense .

Xebec is territorial. He has pride and ego. We can easily understand this from his actions and dream.

If WG managed to capture Shakky - a figure who became integral part of Xebec island then that's akin to humiliation for Xebec...

Let's take real world example - if an enemy nation kidnaps a high figure of your nation, then that action would be perceived as an attack.

Attempts to save that figure isn't about simping for high figure but about image and reputation... about pride.

This becomes more true with authoritarian figures like Xebec.


It's less about saving Shakky and more about getting back at WG.

Also the fact that this hot model was in Xebec's HQ and she means this much to him yet he never smashed or gained anything from her would be a massive hit to his persona. If Oda could somehow portray Xebec benefitting from Shaky in someway it would be a lot better.

I get that, but without that, I don´t even know if he would be in the top tier conversation, ngl. I just don´t see anything that justifies putting him over the other major top tiers in the manga.

Also, Luffy has pretty much been portrayed as more like a young Garp/raised more by him. I have the same opinion of Garling tbh. I wont gift him Shanks´s portrayal given the fact that Shanks was also raised/trained by the Roger pirates

Xebec actually gained alot from Shakky.

What's Xebec dream? To be king of the world

For that, he needs manpower and influence to go against WG.

Xebec build his crew through davy back fights but this alone isn't enough to extend his influence.

And, he lacks Luffy's ability to make allies

Shakky is famous as strong, beautiful pirate. Having her on his island is like having a beautiful art which draws tourists.

Her presence increased the influx of pirates on the island which definitely led to increase in prestige and influence of Rocks pirates and added more man power.

Calling her treasure is like sending the world an invitation to visit his island.


This is actually briliant idea to draw more pirates into the influence web.

The problem with simping in OP is that none of these characters are having sex. Sanji is most likely a straight up virgin, and Rocks is only saving Shakky for the hope of having sex with her(he´s clearly not interested in her for personality or anything, let´s be real). Everyone here looks pathetic except for Rayleigh, who isn´t obsessively simping and seems to actually get along with her, and they actually had sex.

Maybe if Shakky was in his crew it would be more believable, but it´s just a goofy move on his part. No wonder Harald wants nothing to do with him.
