i agree. cool powers, cool designs... they are definitely more creative that beast pirates who are essentially just a bunch of ancient zoans. I would have much preferred more variety for them (insects, mythical, etc.).

but I will always regret the appearance of Big Mom in the Fishman Island arc where she really seemed more sinister and intimidating.

Character design was great in WCI.

Beast Pirates look more like a Zoo. I didn't like much character Design outside of Kaidou and King.

WCI was more plot-focused, like a lot of reveals. Good arc for theory crofters. Wano was just a power struggle. We definitely got an Oden/Roger/Whitebeard moment, but again, even that boiled down to powerscaling debates.

Even random members like Amande, Galette, Custard, look finer than Shakky and cool af. Oda cooked with BMP designs the fact we got so many wasted concepts

The BM Pirates are my favorite emperor crew of the original four. Other crews tend to rely too much on brute strength but BM's information network was unmatched, her deep connections to the criminal underworld of all four blues made her crew the scariest to cross. Despite her goofy Disney villain theming and demeanor, she was on some cartel shit fr.

Here's hoping Cross Guild, specifically Crocodile and the remnants of Baroque Works, will be able to pick up from where Big Mom left off. We recently learned their marine bounties are being funded through the criminal underworld so my assumption is Crocodile and Buggy have those connections that the BM pirates had.

Big Mom in her intro during Fishman Island was scarier than Kaido at any point of the story.
I'll go so far as to say that that was probably the most intimidating a character was presented in the story.

Here's one of the 4 greatest pirates of your time, talking to you like you're an insect. Two of her low level goons make short work of one Supernova - how strong are her closest confidants, you wonder?

She's monstruous, yet has very childish tendencies. A very bad combo. Her crew is full of psychos and freaks (a guy smiling and bobbing his head and a three eyed girl are the first people we see). Her spit melts the floor underneath her.

And then we get to WCI and almost all of it falls down the drain.
