Where's Kizaru that has the same vibe as pre-skip
These is probably the last chance for Kizaru to showcase his capabilities.
The Gorosei replaced him as the main big bad boss of the arc.....

Maybe Oda likes to show more of his human side or emotions/character development that we never thought Kizaru will have. Like Sanji in WCI, but unlike Kizaru, Sanji will keep on going headstrong each arc, while Kizaru becomes just a side character next time we saw him have a role.
