Garp was never said to be equal to Roger in Roger's prime. They fought deadly duels, but Roger and WB are clearly on their own by the time of Roger's death.

BM stans are built different. Twisting a complete L where she not only fails to even scratch Garp but also shits her pants when witnessing it, into some W. You don't even see anyone really defending WB like this and he didn't even look half as bad (well given his stature it's more of a shock), but I have to give it to BM fans they have become so accustomed to taking Ls, they've become immune to them, the Ls are just Ws to them at this point 😂

Does Garp really think he can defeat Big Mom with mosquito bites? We’ve seen what it actually took—Law’s attack would have blown God Valley into a thousand pieces and erased the island from the map. Garp is nowhere near that level, and even that attack wasn’t enough to knock out WINWIN.

It’s an L but not a bigger than L than Rayleigh’s mediocrity with all the context put together. I mean this might be the last we see of any Rayleigh feat, and this is supposed to be his prime. Big Mom has a lot of context added for her: scene wasn’t serious, Oda making sure to add a line stating that BM/WB didn’t want to waste time, BM’s younger by like 8 years.

They all had things they needed to get to quickly. Fighting one of the strongest people in the verse would take too much time even for the three of them.
