IMPORTANT : If you can, you people must be VERY careful on social networks. Antisemitism is rising due to Israel's action. And the overton windows is bound to shift the longer the genocide and the oppression will continue and it will bring us with it, not matter our ideology. Do NOT let yourself be acclimated by antisemitism such as posts below this one above, report EVERYTHING YOU CAN.

I should know, I do strive on conflicts. But it's not the only thing. If you are cool evolving in a space where people deny genocides, go ahead, I'm not. Either I leave (didn't work), or they leave (not the best solution), or I change (already done that), or this place change (Staff is not politicized enough) or they change.

I think it can be dangerous to put antisemitism rising as being the fault of the state of Israel, especially because from what I have seen, antisemitism spreads through misinformation and conspiracies based on lies, so it can be fought by widely spreading debunkings of that misinformation, and also through the workers gaining more rights and seeing it was just bosses trying to pit people one against another

Yes, indeed, it do spread through lies and propaganda, but it's important to understand that antisemitism is a systemic problem not only due to capitalism, it's not just the fault of compagnies or bosses. It's a system that we fuel, meaning both institutions + individuals. As such, none of us is shielded from that. And there is a rise at the moment, and it is completely due to Israel's actions that fuel the anger.

Who is giving fuel to these conspiracy theorists ? Especially when you see the degree of support to Netanyahu's war and genocide in the Israeli population. It's also been assessed that whenever Israel goes batshit crazy, the number of antisemitic actions rise in the west as a whole. Not even counting the anti-Israel actions which are good even though the numbers are often mixed between antisemitic and anti-Israel.

Yeah, it's a fine line to walk. And dehumanizing and essentializing jews just because of Israel is but a small leap that we must fight against to death.

It's a systemic problem but imo 99.9% of it is jews rule the world type conspiracy

Capitalism getting worse is giving more fuel to it, there needs to be a reason for the economic problems

Of course corelation isn't causation, this just so happened to happen at the same time that bosses decided to push more in raising prices, firing people, etc
Post automatically merged:

Look at pro-palestinian voices, filled with people like libertarian socialists

And for example Aaron Bushnell burned himself to draw attention to the palestinians' issues, while also being completely against the anti-semitic conspiracies and being anti-capitalist

Yeah, and trust me, when you see how Israel is treated internationnally by governement, it's very easy for depoliticized people to fall into this horrendus rabbit hole, I know it full well because I fell into that types of conspiracy theory myself when I was young. Not to the point of hating jews, but the injustice + missinformation made me close from falling straight up into hardcore reactionnary rethorics.

Dude even thinking about it is getting me nauseous so I don't want to name it and think about this more for now, but I will just say there is an anti-semitic political content creator who tried to grift to "oh no the actions of the state of Israel are the reason for antisemitism" fortunately I think it didn't stick

Sorry I didn't understand your post, what do you mean "who tried to grift to "oh no the actions of the state of Israel are the reason for antisemitism"" ?

They are an open anti-semite, and tried to excuse it once by grifting to the palestinians' issues
Yeah, sadly, this is the issue we face. Israel's genocide rised worldwide anger, but the lack of reactions from the west opened the antisemitic floodgate. Now, we have to deal with both a genocide and the rise of racism because of it. It's a fine line, but if we managed that, we will have proven a form of growth compared to a century ago. We must be careful tho, we are not impervious to racism ourselves
