Yes indeed those very officers. When Sakazuki thinks of Oden as a WB pirate first and that the bulk of the marines don't know about him, it's pretty clear that random people making statements about the Roger pirates are not factoring him in.

Problem with this is how nonchalant Imu was the whole time. He was killing marines and pirates alike all around xebec then as soon as he wanted to end the fight, he grabbed xebec and converted him. It’s hard to see xebec as a wall for Imu and looked more like he was a toy.
